Corporate / Business / Trust Donors
WST needs urgent partnership with corporates, angel donors, major funding organisations and generous philanthropists to consider making substantial donations to see this much-needed healing and recovery retreat fully restored. There are major capital injections required now for the rebuilding / restoration / replacement of the main lodge, kitchen facilities, and the men's accommodation (Okahu House) to be completed. Our model incorporates normal overheads being covered by retreat guests paying an accommodation fee, and eventually helping create saleable products so that we are not so reliant upon donations or funding down the track.
WST Chairman, Ray Curle, and Treasurer Gary Shuttleworth of Shuttleworth Chartered Accountants are happy to discuss with you any queries you may have. Tax deductible receipts are issued at the end of the financial year. Contact:

Books into prisons and rehabs
WST is happy to report that thanks to generous sponsors, over 1800 copies of The Wild Side have been donated into prisons since 2018. They were divided between Wiri Mens and Womens, Paremoremo and Mt Eden prisons. Other generous sponsors have seen 250 Radical Lives Vol 2, 8 True Red and 8 Blood on the Mirror books donated into prisons and rehab centres. |
Excerpt from a letter from a prisoner in Rimutaka Prison: "Sister, your books are making a massive difference in the lives of these brothers in here. I pray the blessing of God on you to write another next level book of inspiration." RM Edwards
